Disability Discrimination Act 1995
The recent Disability Rights Commission (DRC) investigation into web access found
that "many disabled people find it impossible to book a holiday, open a bank account
or buy theatre tickets online". They also issued a stern warning that swathes of
businesses may not be complying with existing equal access laws and that it was "
only a matter of time" before they faced legal challenges from disabled consumers.
It's important that your website is DDA compliant and that everyone can access
your site equally. To help with this ADH WebCreations offer a DDA compliance
service for a fee of just £15 per page.
Using the guidelines set out at on Watchfire® WebXACT - an automated accessibility checking program, we
will identify all of the accessibility problems that exist and highlight any aspects
of the site that need to be examined more closely.
We will then make the required changes to a copy of your site and all you need
do is upload them. We will also give you a full report detailing the changes.
